other, the other, others ,the others ,another
（1）other为形容词，后面可跟单数或复数名词，意为“其他的，别的”。例：
What other things can you see in the picture？你还可以在图中看见其他物体吗？
（2）the other 是指某一范围内，除去已知外的其他的人或物，可以单独使用，也可以在后接名词。例：
Lucy has two aunts. One is a doctor ,the other is a driver. 露西有两个姑姑，一个是医生，另一个是司机。
I have six pens .One is blue, the other five are red. 我有六支钢笔，一支是蓝色的，其它五支是红色的。
（3）others相当于一个复数名词，泛指“其他人或物”。它只可以单独作主语或宾语，后面不可以跟其它名词。它通常和some搭配，构成”some…others…”句型。例：
There are lots of children in the park, some are watering the flowers, others are planting trees.公园里有许多孩子，一些孩子在浇花，一些孩子在植树。
（4） the others 表示特定范围内的“其他的人或物”。例：
There are 50 students in our class ,5 of them are from the USA, the others are from China. 我们班有50名学生，其中有5人来自美国，其他的都来自中国。
（5）another作形容词或代词使用，指多个人或物体中的“再一个”或“另一个”，后面可以跟单数可数名词或“数词+名词”。用英语解释为one more。例：
I don’t like this pair of shoes. Show me another one , please.我不喜欢这双鞋。请你再拿一双给我看。
Would you like another cup of tea? 请你再喝一杯茶好吗？
He went on swimming for another two hours before he finished this journey.他在完成旅程之前，又继续游了两个小时。
